Will birth control cause me to have infertility later in life?

I have a really messed up cycle, and my mom has an appointment for us to talk to a gyno about getting me on birth control. Thing is, I’m 14, and I heard if you started birth control at a young age it could lead to infertility when your older, and I mean I would want to be on it till I want to start having kids, which would be about my middle 20′s. If I’m on birth control for that ling will it cause me to never be able to have children?

It really depends on what KIND of birth control you’re on. Depo Provera or the shot, has been known to cause temporary fertility problems if taken for long periods of time. However, just the regular pill usually doesn’t. However, depending on when you got your first period, it can take some girls a year or two to really have a regular cycle. My little sister started at 13, at 15 she just now has a normal every month cycle.
