How much will a person spend in order to reverse infertility? Well, the ART are state-of-the-art methods that can reverse infertility, but can also cost you tens and thousands of dollars. Take note, though, the success rate of ART methods is not a hundred percent. Although they do have a pretty high success rate, health is still the major factor that will determine how successful will the methods be. The health of either the male or the female can greatly reduce or increase that success chance of the art methods in helping the couple conceive. By now, you might be wondering what does ART means. Assisted Reproductive Technology is what ART stands for. Based on the name, it implies science solution to infertility problems.
What are the processes involved in ART Basically, there are several ART methods. However, before an individual undergoes ART, he or she is prescribed first with numerous of medications. Women are mostly prescribed with these medications since no matter how healthy the sperm and egg would be, as long as the womb is not suitable for the fetus to grow, it may still end up to miscarriages. Medicines that are prescribed to the patient may come in the form of pills and some are injected. The woman not only gets to be able to give birth to a healthy baby when these drugs take effect, but they also have increased chances of conceiving twins or even triplets. As for the ART methods, the most popular would be the In Vitro Fertilization.
The process where fertilization takes place outside the female’s body is called the In Vitro Fertilization or IVF. During the normal intercourse, the sperm meets the egg in the fallopian tube or in the uterus, and the embryo then develops in the uterus. The female may sometimes produce insufficient eggs, or the male sometimes has really low sperm count. The female is then advised to take drugs in order to produce enough eggs which are then put in a laboratory dish along with the male’s sperm for fertilization process. Once fertilization takes place, the eggs are then implanted into the womb of the female in order for the embryo to develop.
The involvement of a sperm donor depend on the circumstances, it may or may not be needed. ART procedures mainly aims on having the egg and sperm meet so they can run the course that nature has intended for them. The male and the female are often prescribed medications in order to produce sperm and egg respectively. There may still be hindrances in the conception since there are some cases of infertility where the causes are stressed-related. There are also some couples who my even have what is called “unexplained” infertility or infertility which the causes are not clear.
But first, why don’t you just try to balance your life out even before thinking about how much will infertility cost you. One of the most common causes of infertility problems is having an unhealthy lifestyle. There are numbers of women who claimed that only after they have quitted from their stressful work that they got pregnant. Try to live a healthy lifestyle first, and if after having a healthy lifestyle you still have infertility problems, then it may be the time that you can try using the ART methods if you have the sufficient financial resources.
