Injectables are A LOT more expensive than clomid. I was on clomid and Repronex and luckily got pregnant my first cycle. The medicine alone was about $120 (with insurance) for a 2 day supply plus there was many more doctor appointments and monitoring than while I was taking clomid alone. I took clomid on day day 3-7 and then Repronex on days 8-11. I had blood work and an ultrasound every other day to monitor follicle development while on Repronex. I had 2 follicles ready to go on day 11 so we triggered that night and had my IUI in the morning on day 13.

That cycle cost me about $800 (out of pocket) with insurance but if I didn't have insurance it would have run $2000-$2500 I'm sure. Lucky for me I got pregnant that first Clomid/Repronex cycle after not getting pregnant on 6 cycles of clomid. Our baby boy is due July 3rd.

Some local Gyn can go as far as prescribing you Clomid but thats it. You need a fertility specialist for the injections, IVF, IUI.
Good Luck

Good for you for getting a second opinion. Fort Worth Fertility PA in Fort Worth and in Oklahoma City Henry G. Bennett, Jr. Fertility Institute
Oklahoma City is the best. Check out sart.org and look at the clinics' success rates for your age group. I know Fertility Associates of North Texas has a woman doctor. I am not sure if the others do.

Good luck!!!

It really depends on what KIND of birth control you're on. Depo Provera or the shot, has been known to cause temporary fertility problems if taken for long periods of time. However, just the regular pill usually doesn't. However, depending on when you got your first period, it can take some girls a year or two to really have a regular cycle. My little sister started at 13, at 15 she just now has a normal every month cycle.

First.Thyroid is not a disease
Second it is a hormonal imbalance that causes physical /mental problems or be a cause for any diseases
Third. Both genders can be infertile due to various reasons-thyroid imbalance is one of the causes.
Four Life can be enjoyed despite thyroid deficiency
